We kicked off our book study yesterday! Our next meeting is in TWO weeks (we will NOT meet on Valentine’s Day). So, for February 21, please read the introduction and chapter 1 of “Walk in Her Sandals.” Answer the study questions for chapter one. In addition, choose and perform one of the ways to contribute to the New Evangelization before our meeting on the 21st.
Have a blessed week!
Reminder: Please contact Debbie Minton by this Wednesday if you plan on attending the Women’s Retreat on Saturday, February 2nd. McAlister’s Deli is catering the event and Debbie will need a head count.

Ladies,
For the next “Walking With Purpose” book study, on Thursday, September 27th, please read “Section Two” and “Priority One” which entails reading pages #29-67. In addition, please answer the Session Two questions in your packet.
Remember to also work on your “Concrete Resolution” from Session 1. For example, if you stated that you want to work on praying every morning, try making steps towards making that resolution stick. You might print off a morning prayer to have by your bedside so that it is there for you to read first thing in the morning. Or, you might try setting up a quiet spot in your home for you to sit for contemplative and/or rote prayer at a set time every day.
Your friend in Christ,
Angie
For those taking part in the “Walking With Purpose” book study, please read the introduction and section one “Putting Some Basics in Place.” Also, please answer the corresponding study questions prior to the meeting this Thursday, 6:30PM, in the Parish Center Room A. See you then!
Thursday evening will be the first of seven sessions for the Walking With Purpose book study. Please note that the meetings will now be held in the Parish Center, Room A, instead of the school cafeteria. At the first meeting, the book and study questions will be handed out, and we will all get a chance to meet one another. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
Just a reminder….if you are wanting to participate in the St. Athanasius book study this fall with either the SIS Group or the Mom’s Bible Study Group, please let me know ASAP so that we ensure that we have ordered enough books and study materials. The cost per person is $5 and due at the first group meeting.
Mom’s Bible Study Group: meeting on Wednesdays; begins September 12th; 9:15-10:45AM; Parish Center Basement. You may bring your baby/child/grandchild for a “playdate,” but children are not required to be part of this group!
SIS Group: meeting on Thursdays; begins September 13th; 6:30-8:00PM; St. Athanasius Cafeteria.
Blessings,
Angie Poole

Hi ladies,
Our formation committee would like to invite all of you to join us in consecrating our parish to Our Blessed Mother in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima.
Please see below.

INVITATION TO CONSECRATE OUR PARISH TO OUR BLESSED MOTHER
In celebrating the upcoming 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima, I want to invite you
to participate in A Do-It-Yourself Retreat, leading you to the Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Using the book 33 Days to Morning Glory, by Fr. Michael Gaitley, you will easily be guided thru the best Marian teachings of St Louis de Montfort, St Maximilian Kolbe, St. Teresa of Calcutta and St Pope John Paul II. This book is presented simply, clearly and in a conversational style, therefore easy to read.
In our days when spiritual stakes have never been higher, many have said that their lives were not the same after this consecration.
We will begin on September 10, and end with the Consecration on October 13, 2017,the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima.
This book can be accessed online on our parish subscription to FORMED. We also have available books in the back of Church in the display, for a $5.00 donation.
This retreat may be the best spiritual exercise you have ever done for yourself, your family, your parish and our world. May God bless.
Feel free to share!
Your companion in service,
Debbie Green
